Ubuntu won't load correctly. Details inside
I am using Ubuntu desktop. I was having trouble downloading Chrome as an error kept coming up saying I didn't have permission and that the disk was protected. I couldn't even create a new folder on my desktop due to permission issues.
I tried logging off but it went to a black screen with some text so I turned the computer off using the power button. Now the OS won't load as I get the following:
lvmetad is not active yet, using direct activation during sysinit /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-root contains a file system with errors, check forced. Inodes that were part of a corrupted orphan linked list found /dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-root requires a manual fdck
Can someone tell me what's going on here and how to resolve it please?
Thanks
