Have I been scammed by tech support?

Read carefully

Long story short, I did a system reset of my computer (Laptop) on Windows 10 and the next thing you know it shows me error messages and crashes to bluescreen every 5 minutes. I checked the Windows Update tab and I realised the updates were stuck at 2%.

After countless of hours trying to fix it myself, I gave up and decided to try the Microsoft Support. So I used the Official Microsoft Support window and informed them of my issue. A few moments later I was already connected to a tech support guy who texted me over the support window, and sent me a link to a (what seemed like a legit) website for Microsoft tech service where I had to enter a code he gave me so he could access my laptop. I didn't download any programs for that so I suppose it was the built in screen and device sharing tool from microsoft ?

Anyways after half an hour the dude gave up and transfered me to a level 2 support he called it. This time a girl texted me over the support window. She tried the same stuff as the guy before but this time she went to a (what seemed a legit website too) microsoft : http://ift.tt/1ZQV7Im

After downloading the Zip and executing the .cmd we waited what seemed like an hour and she managed to fix it and until now the laptop works just fine.

The best of it is that it was completely free of charges and it worked. Now, don't get me wrong I don't assume that every tech supports out there are scams but after getting lost on youtube one day I found this guy's Youtube channel who does an excelent job at uncovering the scams of tech support. I watched a lot of his videos;I then remembered about my own experience and I recognized the program used for screen and device sharing, I couldn't find the name though. I started to think that maybe I have been scammed too after all. Maybe it was not money but a spyware to get my informations or whatever they did to my laptop.

So I still have the Zip and the .cmd on my laptop and I can try to find out more information if you need me too (like the program used or the microsoft code I had to enter)

Thank you for reading till the end I didn"t realise it was going to be that long.

PS. It's my first post on reddit and sorry for my spelling mistakes I am french :P

EDIT : I found the program used it is called LogMeIn Rescue, and I don't remember downloading it at all.
