PC for my brother is making me crazy. It boots up half of the time :(

Hello Guys,

I really could use some advice right now. My brother wanted to build a pc, so i tried to help him, we ordered everything and build it together. Now it does not really work and my brother is heartbroken. Please help me be a good brother :/ Sorry in advance for my english, I am from germany. Our Build is here: https://goo.gl/grJN94

In general, I have:

-MSI B350 PC MATE AMD B350 So.AM4 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX Retail -8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX schwarz DDR4-3000 DIMM CL15 Dual Kit -AMD Ryzen 5 1600 6x 3.20GHz So.AM4 BOX -6GB KFA2 GeForce GTX 1060 OC Aktiv PCIe 3.0 x16 (Retail) -500 Watt be quiet! System Power 8 Non-Modular 80+ -EKL Ben Nevis Tower Kühler

Now we do have this very wierd problem: We tried to start the pc but (besides all fans running) the monitor did not show any image. I checked the warning lights on board of the Motherboard and suggested to try to test the RAM: We put the RAM into Slot 2 and 4, as you are supposed to with this Motherboard. It didnt work. So we decided to check if one of the RAM-Parts wasn´t working. We put one of the memory latchs into each available slots and it booted. We put the other memory latch into each available slot, it booted. We put both memory latchs together into slot 1 and 3 it booted. Then slot 2 and 4 and NOP, it did not boot again. Confused we switched it back to Slot 1 and 3 and tried again. It failed suddenly. Now we have found this problem:

The PC boots up never when RAM is in Slot 2 and 4, in around 50% of the cases when the RAM is in Slot 1 and 3.

If it boots up, first the red warning lights of the CPU and VRAM turn on for 3 seconds, turn off again, then the VGA warning lights turns on for 3 seconds before turning off again, and then the monitor shows an image and you can get into the boot menu.

If it doesn´t work, no warning lights turn on at all and the monitor does not get any data.

Any suggestions, as stupid as they might sound are welcome!

certain keys on my keyboard dont work when "cold"

Hi guys, i have a Lenovo Y520-15IKBN (80WK) and certain keys on the keyboard don't work (e,g,h,8,9,Fn...) but only when the weather is cold. for example in the winter it used to work after certain amount of time when i first boot the laptop and stops working when i stop using it for a while, but now that the weather is hot it works just fine except for the first couple of minutes or when its colder. of course i do realise that it has nothing to do with the outside weather but with the temperature of the computer itself. can someone explain to me why this is happening and how it should be fixed as i cannot take it to the tech service until july even though it's still under warranty because i need it for school. ps: an external keyboard works fine. Old PC with a Foxconn n15235 motherboard needs drivers! Help!!

So my Pc corrupted and I had to fresh install windows on it, but now its missing 3 drivers and one of them is for the Ethernet controller! I've tried searching everywhere for the windows 7 drivers but all I seem to find are some dodgey programs saying they will install it for me. Problem is without the ethernet driver I can't bloody connect to the internet. I've been using a USB to try get some drivers on there, but they just end up being useless programmes . I'm also a bit of a noob at these things, I don't understand where to find the names of things in my PC, I've opened it up but I don't understand whats significant and what isnt. If someone has the drivers and can teach me how to install them I'd be very appreciative! Submitted April 29, 2018 at 02:47PM by darrilsteady https://ift.tt/2r76xMZ
