keyboard refuses to type when pressing a key that looks like a page then shift

using Razer Blackwidow Chroma Tournament Edition. title says it all. there must be a key combination to disable this effect, because slapping randomly at the keyboard (no really, this is how I fixed it) returned it to normal. I have tried pressing the same key combination which has no effect. I have done google searches for "page"+shift fixes but they have yielded nothing and I have also looked for "keyboard won't type" but it's disabled keyboards and "works better when it's plugged in" type of solutions. I'm at a loss, please help this issue is driving me nuts. it is the key under the right shift. I hit hit whenever I rest my right hand.
