New PC build, some problems with gaming

I recently built my first PC, and it turns on, things work, however when I try to play a game the frame rate must be in the single digits. I can see my graphics card (1080ti) in device manager and have uninstalled the drivers, restarted the computer and done varies other stuff the internet told me to do for the last couple of days. I'm really at a loss, and I'm not good at computer shit, if anyone had any suggestions that would be great.
