"Driver power state failure" Windows 10

Hey guys, I've been having this problem for several months now. I searched everywhere online and tried numerous solutions and they've all failed. I am currently at my wits end lol.

When i boot my laptop, it takes an absurd amount of time. It starts with the black screen then the Asus logo then BSOD with "Driver power state failure". Then the laptop reboots itself and finally works.

When i boot it in safe mode and view the device manager list, there is a yellow triangle under monitors- generic pnp monitor. When I update it, it says current version is lastest. This yellow triangle does not appear under non- safe mode.

Under the event viewer, I believe that the main problem is the bugcheck event ID 1001: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000009f (0x0000000000000003, 0xffffae867b5063c0, 0xffffc4016abc68f0, 0xffffae867c561b40). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 7260545f-e649-4d48-b284-4e620a8590d6.

Unfortunately I do not know how/if i can upload the dumpfile as it is very long with many characters.

My laptop is an Asus S550c, windows 10, Intel R HD Graphics 4000, NVIDIA Geforce GT 740M.

If I am missing any other required info, I will post it as soon as I can.

Thank you
