Suspicious Activity In iMessages After Leaving iPhone 6S plus with Local Phone Repair Shop (Details and links to images in description)
Not sure if I am making a big deal out of nothing, but just to be extra careful I thought I'd post this here.
Busted the LCD on my phone yesterday, so I took it into a local phone repair shop in town. They did a pretty good job fixing it, but since receiving it back I've noticed something very suspicious.
I went into my iMessages and noticed a suspicious message in my inbox.
Before I get any further, I should mention: I do not view porn on this device, and generally have a firewall and ad blocker running while surfing the web.
Has anybody seen anything like this before? I thought maybe this was part of some process to make sure the phone was working...? But, still seems really shady to me.
When you click the link in the first message sent (which as I type that out realize was probably not a good idea) it took me to safari, which then auto-loaded iMusic and then this screen.
As far as the second and third message, in the earlier link you'll see one image where the text is blurred out, and the next where the image is revealed.
Anyway, if this is something suspicious, what is my next course of action?
I know a little bit about these kinds of things but this is a little out of my wheelhouse.
Suggestions?
