Samsung M3 Portable 1tb software not recognising device.

Hi guys, I'm having issues with this device. First I had issues getting the Secret zone drive to connect, as it wasn't changing to 'connected' when I entered the password. Previously I'd got it working by renaming the vi.dat file in Driveletter\Samsung Software\Secret Zone folder. It happened again and my usual fix didn't work. After trying it several times I uninstalled the Samsung Drive Manager software and reinstalled it. Now when I connect the device the Samsung Drive Manager screen comes up but showing that nothing is connected.

What the hell do I do guys. I've stupidly put all my stuff into the Secret zone secure drive. Can it be recovered and transferred to another drive if i take it into a local electronic repair shop?
