Windows 10 Headset issue/set up microphone not working
After working fine only a day ago before an update, Windows will no longer output my voice from my new headset.
Things that I've tried:
- Decibel level is fine, mic is plugged in and unmuted, mic is set as default, etc
- Tried an older headset that I was replacing and it has the same issues now on this computer.
- Under device manager, device drivers are up to date.
- Both headsets worked on my other computer and output speech fine.
- Tried restoring to before most recent update.
- Under audio device properties I can listen to voice playback fine (it echos my voice but doesn't output it?).
I'm pretty sure it has something to do with microphone setup not working (Audio devices > configure) but I don't know why this is and at this point I'm really hoping it isn't a hardware issue because the computer is only a year old.
