HyperX Cloud II suddenly not working after getting Oculus Rift

So, my issue is kind of a weird one, and I'm not really too sure where to begin. Today, I got an Oculus Rift and as one would assume it is it's own source for audio playback and recording. I had the Oculus plugged in while I was out of the house for a couple hours, and when I returned I went to the playback settings to disable the Oculus playback so I could use my HyperX headphones instead. When I disabled the oculus, I realized that there was no entry for the HyperX at all, not in playback nor recording. This was strange because hours before, I used that exact same method for changing headphones and it worked fine. The only thing that changed during that time frame was that I bought an hdmi to displayport adapter so I could have my Oculus plugged into the HDMI slot and still use my second monitor, but I can't imagine this is related in any way.

I tried to revert the displays back to how they used to be just in case but it did not work either.

Within Device Manager, the HyperX is also no where to be found, instead it is now known as "Unkown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" and is under the USB controllers section instead of the sound, video and game controllers section.

I have tried to uninstall the new unknown driver and plug it back in, and that does nothing. I have tried updating my USB drivers (which the Oculus needed anyway) that also did nothing (it just installs as unknown again). I restarted the computer, that did nothing. The device is not under disabled nor disconnected devices.

It is worth noting that the HyperX is USB based with an audio jack plugging into a little control box which then plugs into USB. Plugging the audio jack into the computer does not work either (usually a window related to my mobo will appear and prompt me to select which device type i have just inserted, but that window doesn't appear at all which never initalizes the device).

The headphones do work on other devices (tested on my phone).

It just seems so weird that these headphones which I have had for months would suddenly just stop working, especially with the Oculus introducing new audio devices. So I'm not too sure that the headphones just broke.

I have tried to be as specific as possible here, but I am completely stumped. Google has provided me with no answers whatsoever, so I am at a loss here. Thanks in advance for any support and if I left out some details, just ask and I will provide it.

EDIT: I have managed to fix the audio working without the USB hub by plugging in the HD audio supplied from the case into my mobo (which I accidently removed this morning and forgot to put back in) but the USB hub still does not work.
