The battery is acting weird...

It shows up on my computer as 100% and when its empty (still showing 100%) will just shut off without warning.
I only noticed this a while ago so I already said the battery was working on ebay (yea stupid I know) but is there a way to reset the capacity or is it a sensor/hardware fault?
