hey guys can u tell me what stops the heat of the cpu and gpu to get to the keyboard?

Hey guys i spilled water on my lap some days ago. I took it to a tech guy who said that everything is cool. But i get this weird problem where the heat of the cpu or the one of the cpu expands to all the laptop. I know this heat depends on the cpu or the cpu because it gets really hot only when i play.I notice that the left side of the lap is hotter but only slightly than the right one even when not playing.
