Problem with 1600mhz RAM

I have 2 sticks of DDR3 1600Mhz RAM. Upon a closer inspection in CPU-Z i noticed that they run only at 1333Mhz My motherboard and cpu support 1600Mhz RAM ( H61M-K+ G2030) I tried going in bios and setting the RAM frequency target to 1600 but it froze and when i restarted the PC there was this window that said overclock failed press F1 to start setup or something. Does anyone know what could be the problem? I'm thinking it could be the RAM sticks not matching. I have 4GB 1600 blue Hyperx + Some random cruical 4GB 1600 stick. Laptop won't cooperate - problems with wi-fi connection

Hey, so, my laptop is around a year old and so far I had so many problems with it. First, the graphical card got fried, then the operational system decided to go 'girl, bye' and die on me. Both times, we took it back to the store and when I got it back BOTH TIMES I lost all the stuff I had on it, coubting essays for school, my art. Everything. Now, recently it started to mess around, freeze while watching youtube videos and just force me to shut it down. (Not to mention that I always have to have it on the charger since I got it back) However, now when I thought I had it all figured out, it decides to disconnect from our wi-fi. At first I thought there was something wrong with our wi-fi, but it works perfectly fine on my phone? I even moved out into our livingroom where the router is. Basically, it disconnects and all the wifi spots it usually can find are just gone and I cant connect to anything, because it can't find anything? What could be the problem? Whenever I restar...

Facebook is forcing me to download their anti-virus?

Today I woke up to a warning message when I tried to log in to my Facebook account on my computer. Apparently they have found some sort of malicious software in my computer and they won't let me in unless I download their anti-virus software. Is this even legal? I mean... why would they do that even if my computer was in fact infected? It isn't: I use anti-virus and I am careful while navigating online. I even reinstalled Google Chrome - didn't change a thing. Tried to login with Edge - same warning. I can use facebook on my phone with no issue. Only thing I won't do is install their stupid anti-virus. Anyone with the same issue? Submitted December 30, 2017 at 06:27PM by AwakenedTylerDurden http://ift.tt/2CeBBD3

Dual Monitor Gaming Performance Hit

Clearly, I do not know as much about computers as I very much should however this past Christmas I was given a Dell S2418HN 24" Monitor . Previously I had a eMachines E181H 18.5" Monitor . The specs for the monitors are shown here respectively: Resolution: 1920 x 1080 Display type: LED Backlit HD format: 1080p Brand: Dell Size: 24 in Resolution: 1366 x 768 Display type: LCD Brand: eMachines Size: 18.5 in As for the problem I face, before Christmas, the eMachines monitor was my sole monitor which I used for gaming, it's now been replaced by the Dell monitor and functions as a secondary monitor for things like videos, discord, etc. However seemingly since the Dell monitor has been plugged into my computer I've experienced serious performance drops in games that previously worked fine. Games that would previously run between 40 to 60 or higher now run between 20 and 30. The specs of my computer are: Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 750 Ti Driver Version: 3...

Terrible write speeds on Sandisk 120gb plus ssd under Osx

Bought a sandisk 120gb plus to my mac mini (5,1) and i'm getting really poor write speeds from it under High sierra. (Max 90mb/s, tested with blackmagicdesigng's disk speed test) Reads are fine tho, (around 500mb/s) High Sierra: http://ift.tt/2Cd9OCV So i thought i'd test it also under windows 10. It seems that the write speeds are a lot better there Windows10: http://ift.tt/2zPyU4H *I've tried with trim off and on, but getting same results. *Ssd firmware is the latest. *Re-installed Os couple times, no change. Can anyone help? Submitted December 30, 2017 at 04:20PM by pertti123123 http://ift.tt/2Cd31cg
