Lost sound on laptop

(System is running Windows 10)

So I have a bit of an odd issue here. I have a laptop that has seemed to lost all sound on it in the past week or so. I tried a system restore to a few weeks, no change in the issue.

I don't have any sound at all with the internal speakers or a set of headphones. Checking the drivers, the drivers appear up to date, however I did a uninstall/reinstall with no issue. Running the troubleshooting tool in Windows gives no errors found. Playing an audio file, the file acts like it is playing, but no sound is heard at all (and yes, the sound is not muted).

Any ideas what to try?

Where can i download the updated driver? Can't delete .ttf files.

The files names are, "gtaweap3.ttf" and "sampaux3.ttf". I have tried some other solutions on google and stuff but none of them are working. I've gone into the registry and none of that worked and went into the fonts folder and unticked "Details pane", but none works. When I try deleting the files it says the file is open in system.
