As society shifted, so did the city. Today, Pittsburgh thrives as a hotbed of innovation and creativity, with renowned universities, tech startups and a thriving art scene built on a legacy of manufacturing.

Today, Google Arts & Culture is proud to launch Pittsburgh: Proud and Powerful alongside 15 local institutions to celebrate the city’s sports icons, local artists, up-and-coming musicians, foodie spots, and more. To get started, we invite you to get to know the city through the words of the institutions themselves. Partners include the Carnegie Museum of Art, The Pittsburgh Glass Center, The University of Pittsburgh, Carlow University Art Gallery, BOOM Concepts, Mattress Factory, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, The Frick, and more. There’s a little bit of something for everyone — so read on to discover what a few of Google Arts & Culture’s Pittsburgh partners love about their own city.

The Pittsburgh Glass Center is one of the top public access glass art facilities in the U.S. Pittsburgh Glass Center offers a unique blend of visual and performance art that combines science, art, and Pittsburgh's rich history in glass.

Roberto Clemente mural

Commemorating the amazing athleticism and humanitarianism that embodied Roberto Clemente’s life, The Clemente Museum was founded by Executive Director and Curator Duane Rieder to showcase the world’s largest exhibited collection of baseball artifacts, memorabilia, and more.


The August Wilson African American Cultural Center

The August Wilson African American Cultural Center is unique because it gives voice to those who may be overlooked, but oftentimes have the most impactful lessons, this can be seen in our story that spotlights artists from around the world showing us that we have more commonalities than meets the eye. 


The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust

Since 1984, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust has worked towards the transformation, cultural and economic development of the Cultural District, a 14-block area in downtown Pittsburgh.

Senator John Heinz History Center

certain keys on my keyboard dont work when "cold"

Hi guys, i have a Lenovo Y520-15IKBN (80WK) and certain keys on the keyboard don't work (e,g,h,8,9,Fn...) but only when the weather is cold. for example in the winter it used to work after certain amount of time when i first boot the laptop and stops working when i stop using it for a while, but now that the weather is hot it works just fine except for the first couple of minutes or when its colder. of course i do realise that it has nothing to do with the outside weather but with the temperature of the computer itself. can someone explain to me why this is happening and how it should be fixed as i cannot take it to the tech service until july even though it's still under warranty because i need it for school. ps: an external keyboard works fine. Old PC with a Foxconn n15235 motherboard needs drivers! Help!!

So my Pc corrupted and I had to fresh install windows on it, but now its missing 3 drivers and one of them is for the Ethernet controller! I've tried searching everywhere for the windows 7 drivers but all I seem to find are some dodgey programs saying they will install it for me. Problem is without the ethernet driver I can't bloody connect to the internet. I've been using a USB to try get some drivers on there, but they just end up being useless programmes . I'm also a bit of a noob at these things, I don't understand where to find the names of things in my PC, I've opened it up but I don't understand whats significant and what isnt.
