Figuring out how to get juice in my 1988 turntable

Heya!

I have this old Pioneer turntable from 1988 that I would like to connect speakers to. However the issue here is that the turntable gets power from a larger stereo-device connected via a 12volt ac/dc input (The larger device is plugged in to a wall outlet).

The default device is really large and I'm wondering if there is any other way to get juice into the turntable without having to use the bigger stereo device. As you might see the turntable has RCA-cables so it is possible to connect it to other speakers.

Any Ideas?
